A NURSERY just over the border in south Powys has had to close after a child tested positive for Covid-19, the county council has confirmed.
Llanfaes Camau Bach in Brecon is closed after three members of staff were told to self-isolate after a child tested positive. Fourteen other children are also self-isolating.
A deep clean has taken place at the setting, which will remain closed until September 25.
Powys County Council said it has worked with early-years settings in the county and procedures are in place in the event a child or member of staff tests positive for Covid-19.

Coun Phyl Davies, Cabinet Member for Education, said: “Early years settings have put measures in place to minimise the risk of coronavirus spreading but it remains a real threat to public health.
"It is important that we all remain vigilant and maintain social distancing and continue to wash hands frequently to prevent the spared of the virus as much as we can.
