Ashwell Home Care Services was founded by husband and wife team Philip and Deborah Ashwell, to provide state of the art, individually tailored care to people in their own homes within Worcestershire. They explained their ethos. Our Company Vision is to transform the way care is delivered. We want to be revolutionary within the care sector and want to change people’s views about the standard of care they receive. We want to let them know that receiving mediocre care is not acceptable and that they deserve high quality care from a high-quality agency that only employs high quality care companions. We will always ensure that you know who is coming to visit you and at what agreed time. The care companions who visit you will be introduced to you before they start visiting so that can feel reassured that you will have no unknown faces turning up at your door. We use state of the art technology to ensure that your calls are monitored, and we can pinpoint at any time where care companions are. This allows us to contact you if there are any unforeseen delays. The technology also allows the care companion to see at a glance what your needs are at each call so that tasks are completed without the possibility of anything being missed. Just as importantly our system allows your nearest and dearest to be involved in your care by giving them access to information about your care calls (with your agreement), and to interact with us at the touch of a button. We became registered with the Care Quality Commission in September 2019. Personal experience led us to start up our own business. As a family we have had loved ones receiving care which, at best, could be described as mediocre. We have over 60 years’ experience between us in this and the customer services sector and we want to make a real difference. Our message is simple – we are an independent, family owned and run company with deep rooted values, beliefs and a passion about how people should be looked after when they need to be. We want to deliver the message that there is no compromise when it comes to care. What we deserve as we enter our older years is the right to high quality care from a social care system which values people and which believes in people. We recognise that staying in your home is so important and that at times you may feel isolated and lonely. Acknowledging and making the decision to receive care is not an easy thing to do and inviting people into your home to assist you is something that you may never thought you would need to do. We have a full time quality care manager, Kim Tolnai, who has been with us since earlier this year. We have a team, nearing 20, of exceptionally caring and passionate hand-picked carers. Currently our clients are a mixture of social services and private clients who live in the Malvern, Bransford, Powick, Upton, Welland and Castlemorton areas. Our ambition is to continue to deliver high quality care and support to clients in the community and to continue to make a real difference to the lives of the people we provide care and support to.
