I take Simon Allen’s points in his letter of September 3.
However, I find it much more enjoyable shopping now without having to worry about cars.
I think these problems are for us to manage.
For example, there could be special parking bays for drivers with a disabled badge.
Shopmobility can help.
Deliveries could be done outside these hours.
Other measures could be adopted to reduce the impact.
It would be useful to do a survey to find out how many people just pop in for a few minutes.
On the whole these measures will reduce climate change and also the risk of pollution from cars.
Any change is difficult at first, but it is something we can adapt to.
