A FOOD store in Hereford has reopened after a £1.5 million facelift over the last 10 weeks.

The Co-op store in Grandstand Road, which includes a Peacock's clothing outlet, employs 45 people, and runs on 100% renewable electricity.

Following a 10-week programme of works, the new-look store includes Costa coffee express, Amazon Lockers, and enhanced bakery.

The national chain said from October 22 the store will offer a new click and collect service, with collections available in as little as two hours through Co-op's own online shop.
