A CHILDREN'S indoor play centre which has been closed since March has re-opened its doors today.

Play Planet in Widemarsh Street, Hereford, has opened with its capacity 'greatly reduced' and is now operating timed play sessions.

  • A message on their Facebook page said: " We will be operating timed play sessions (9-11am, 11:30-1:30pm and 2-4pm), please practice social distancing when arriving for your booked session. These will be pre-booked sessions only, we will be unlikely to accommodate walk-ins. . All Customers will be required to have their temperature checked and apply hand sanitiser on admission. Customers are reminded not to attend if they are showing any symptoms of Covid-19, for further information please refer to the NHS website. . There will be a one way system in place around the cafe and play frame. . We encourage the use of contactless payment. . Adults are required to wear a suitable face covering whilst not seated. . Customers will be required to provide contact details for Track and Trace. . As per government guidelines groups of people are limited to those from two households only, each household can include a support bubble. Furniture will be in fixed locations and it will not be possible to pull tables together. . At the moment we are still unable to offer daytime birthday parties. . We are able to operate evening exclusive use laser tag parties, but not disco parties, due to the natural social distancing element of laser tag. . As usual suitable clothing including the wearing of socks and leg coverings are mandatory for play. .Our priority is to keep customers and staff as safe as possible so please be patient while we work our way through the murky water of Covid safety to find our new "Normal".
