TIME is fast running out to nominate someone for an award as your local care hero.
Today is the last day for entries to the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards.
They are already a runaway success, with a record number of entries.
Approaching 200 nominations have come in – sometimes several for the same person – but we want to make sure that no-one deserving of recognition is left out.
As you might expect after the heroic efforts during the Covid crisis, there are very many entries in the Care Worker, Care Home and Care Team categories.
But Covid has affected people in all areas, from mental health to dementia, GP practices, and in the new category for this year, Children and Adolescent Care.
Once entries close this evening packs will be prepared for the judges to start choosing shortlists of three for the final ceremony in October – held digitally this year because of coronavirus.
The ceremony will be broadcast live, hosted by TV star Dr Hilary Jones and with a star-studded line-up of other celebrities popping in with special messages.
It promises to be a fantastic night of celebrations – acknowledging the outstanding dedication and professionalism of all working in the health and social care sectors.
- So if you know someone who could be a winner, nominate them NOW by going to https://www.herefordtimes.com/awards/healthandsocialcare/ and filling in the form.
Last chance – don’t miss out.
