POLICE have released video footage in the hope it will help their investigation into a vicious attack on a 12-year-old boy in Netherton Park.

The boy suffered three knife wounds to the head, a fractured arm, and his phone was also taken during the attack which happened just before 5pm back on June 24.

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released under investigation. A 12-year-old girl and another boy aged 13 have been voluntary interviewed in connection with the attack.

But police want to identify the person pictured in this video released today (Wednesday).

PC Emily Wallin, from force CID at Dudley, said: "This was a nasty attack but fortunately the knife wounds were not serious.

"He was left with a fractured arm and the whole experience was extremely traumatic for him. I would urge anyone who can help our enquiries to get in touch."
