A HALESOWEN hairdresser has made it through to the national finals of a prestigious competition.

Helen Tether, who owns Helen Tether's Award-Winning Hair on Gorsty Hill, has been announced as one of the finalists of the Wella Professionals TrendVision Award 2020.

The competition had a new format for 2020 with digital entries so that it could still go ahead, despite COVID-19.

She has previously won both British and international titles and is also through to the final six across the country for a competition run by Colourworld. She will find out if she has won on September 6.

She has also entered the British hairdressing awards and will know how she has done on September 22.
