When did you open and why?

Joanne started in hair and beauty and has been self employed for 26 years.  She decided to train as a chiropodist in 1999 when ladies having pedicures were presenting to her foot problems and asking questions about their feet which she could not answer.

Frustrated, she decided to go down the medical footcare route to add to the services she offered in her hair and beauty salons.

In 2011 Joanne had to make a big decision as to where her career path was going to go after major life changes and following advice from friends and family who told her to go with what she was good at, she made her decision to go back into footcare.

As a result Foot Solutions was born.

Who are our customers

Anyone from teachers to runners, senior citizens for toenail trims, children with verrucas, builders and tradesmen. Most of our business is through recommendation. We look after anyone who needs help with their feet.

How did you choose your name?

We were originally called Foot Solutions and changed our name when we joined the Bewdley Medical Centre in 2016. We wanted something more modern and something that we could brand out in the future

What are your most memorable moments?

The best moment is when we have seen a patient who is in so much pain and is very emotional and in floods of tears with the frustration and pain in their feet, it makes us want to help that patient even more.

When they put their new orthotics in their shoes and they smile, hug and thank you, you know that you have done a good job and changed someone’s life for the better.  That feeling is priceless and means the world to us.

Also Joanne treating The Harriers footballers when they were at the top of the league

What does the future hold for ifoothealthcare?

We want to help the general public and we are looking at creating a service for NHS patients within hospitals and in other local towns.
