POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Redditch on Saturday, August 1.

At around 2am, a man in his 40s was walking from the direction of The Park Inn pub on Evesham Road towards Pool Bank with his son.

A man then approached the pair and stabbed the 40-year-old.

The victim was left with injuries to the face and was rushed to hospital for treatment.

The offender is described as white, with short brown hair and was wearing a fluorescent orange jacket.

Nigel Davison, owner of the Park Inn, said there was no suggestion the victim had been in the pub.
