Closing parking spaces, closing the Old Bridge and side roads will NOT encourage people to walk or cycle in Hereford.
All this shows is that if you give Herefordshire Council £20,000 they spend it on bollards and tape to prevent the flow of much-needed traffic and shoppers to our dying city centre.
I am disgusted that they can choose to do this without any apparent consultation.
In King Street alone people who are trying to spend cannot cycle/walk with flowers, new suits or necessary medicine, so those purchases are NOT going to happen.
These moves are absolutely destructive to this struggling city and may well kill it.
If I did not live here I would definitely not visit this eyesore.
