A MAN from Oxfordshire has gone missing off the Hampshire coast.

Elezaj Shkelzen, 33, from Oxford, was last seen on a jet-ski leaving Lymington for Langstone Harbour at 6pm on Tuesday.

Just before 8pm that day, the Coastguard found his jet-ski in the water off Stokes Bay.

His friends and family, who call him Zeni, are concerned for his welfare including close family friend Hannah Talbott-Falce.

She said: "The official search was suspended three days ago, but family and friends have been up and down the coast for the past three days in an independent search hoping to locate him safe and well.

"Not knowing if he is alive and well somewhere is the most distressing thing. Despite an appeal to the local constabulary and coastguard, they are not picking up the search again."

Mr Shkelzen's brother, family and girlfriend are searching for him along the south coast along with Ms Talbott-Falce's husband and other friends.

Hampshire Constabulary said it had been making enquiries in the few days after Mr Shklezen went missing with colleagues in the Coastguard, but turned to the public on Thursday for help.

The force said: "We appreciate the image isn't very clear, but we are hoping you will be able to help.

"Elezaj is described as wearing a light grey and white hoody, dark Adidas shorts, and a camouflage waterproof jacket. He may have had an orange life-jacket with him.

"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a jet-ski being ridden in the Solent between Milford-On-Sea and Stokes Bay.
