MORE than a dozen new coronavirus-related deaths have been recorded at hospitals in England, the latest daily figures show.
NHS England data shows no new coronavirus deaths had happened at hospitals in Herefordshire as of 4pm on Tuesday (August 4). The most recent Covid-19 death was on July 15.
Two more patients have died at hospitals in the Midlands, with the toll now standing at 5,872.
In total, 29,373 coronavirus related deaths have now been recorded in England since the start of the pandemic, 13 more than at the same time on Monday.

Daily death counts are revised each day, with each case backdated to the actual date of death. This means some of the deaths that were first recorded in the last 24 hours may actually have taken place days earlier.
NHS England guidance states: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure."
Only deaths that occur in hospitals where the patient has tested positive for Covid-19 are recorded, with deaths in the community excluded, such as those in care homes.
