Bill Wiggin lambasts the council for a failure to grasp the climate change nettle.
I don’t believe the council is responsible for drafting forthcoming government legislation but he is right to encourage the council to excel in this area.
In fact, Herefordshire is the only county in England that has produced a route map to sustainability that not only addresses climate change and environmental degradation but also widespread inequality.
It can be found at Hereford’s Brightspace website
brightspacefoundation.org.uk/sustainable-route-map and was produced in collaboration with all the key organisations across the county.
Now is the time for our MPs, our councillors and all these other stakeholders to come together to roll out this plan on behalf of all who live in this special county, regardless of their political allegiances or lack of them.
