COMET Neowise was spotted by residents in the sky above Warrington in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Readers and members of Warrington Guardian Camera Club have shared some stunning pictures of the comet.
The comet was discovered by NASA’s Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, known as NEOWISE, on March 27.
It will reach its closest point to Earth on July 23 and it is going to be visible from anywhere in the UK for the rest of the month.
Meanwhile Allan Mason took this image of the comet over Burtonwood in the early hours of Sunday.
