THE organisers of one of the largest one-day agricultural shows in the country have said it's a big disappointment they have been forced to cancel the 2020 event.
Kington Show is the latest in a long line of events to have been cancelled or postponed this summer due to the coronavirus pandemic, but like others, are determined to come back stronger next year.

"It is with great regret that due to the coronavirus pandemic the Kington Show committee has taken the decision to cancel the 2020 show which would have been held on Saturday, September 12," organisers said.
"This is a big disappointment to all of us but ultimately the committee's main priority is the safety of our visitors and supporters. It's likely that some form of social distancing measures and controls on mass gatherings will continue for the next few months making it virtually impossible to organise and run the show this year."

They added: "We will instead work on plans to ensure we have a great show next year on Saturday, September 11, 2021 and we look forward to seeing you all there.
"We would like to thank everyone for their continued support of the show and hope you all stay safe and well."
