A WOMAN has been been pronounced dead after she was found in the River Wye in Hereford yesterday.
Bridge Street was closed after police and fire crews were called to the river just before 6.15pm on May 5.
A police spokesperson said a woman was located in the river and was taken to hospital by ambulance, where she was later pronounced dead.
"Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been prepared for the coroner.
"We would like to thank the members of the public who assisted at the scene of the incident," police said.
