FIREFIGHTERS were called to battle a large grassland fire in Herefordshire last night.
Crews from Hereford, Eardisley and Peterchurch fire stations were called out to reports of a fire in the open on Bredwardine Hill at 9.35pm yesterday.
On arrival, crews found the blaze involved 25 acres of bracken, which was well alight.
Firefighters used beaters and backpacks, alongside Hereford's Land Rover carried fogging lance to put out the flames.
