A MAIN road between Hereford and Leominster will be closed until further notice due to an accident, Herefordshire Council has said.
West Mercia Police were called at 12.44pm to the incident at Stretford Bridge.
A spokesperson said the incident was a "lorry into stonework on the bridge" and a highways inspection had been booked.
"Due to an accident on the A4110 Stretford bridge, the A4110 between Hereford City and the A44 Bainstree Cross will be closed until further notice," a council spokesperson said.
"Please find an alternative route to travel."
