THE future of a caravan park featured in the hit Netflix series Sex Education is in doubt as they are set to miss out on Easter holidaymakers.
Sterrett’s Caravan Park near Ross-on-Wye, is expecting 2020 to be a "write-off" having first been hit by severe flooding and are now feeling the impact of the coronavirus outbreak.

Situated alongside the river Wye in Symonds Yat, the majority of static caravans were ruined after Storm Dennis caused extensive flooding in February.
The park was named, but was not a filming location, in the Netflix series Sex Education, with several scenes filmed in Herefordshire and Monmouthshire.
"We've got almost 100 caravans on the park and the flooding water came at least 18 inches into every caravan, which more or less made them all insurance write-offs," park manager Stephen Quinn said.
"Because of our location most people can't get flood cover so there's an impact to the individual owners, then we had the onslaught of dealing with insurance companies for the people who were insured.

Mr Quinn said the park is set to miss out on potential income of £30,000 from cancelled bookings for April and May. The park has already refunded 150 people their £10 deposits for bookings for touring caravan and tent pitches.

He added: "We put June 1 as a potential opening date, however I think as each day goes by, being realistic can we even say June? We might as well write this year off."
