A SPORTS-MAD 10-year-old has come up with a unique solution to the cancellation of his sporting seasons.

Teddy Hastings, who plays rugby union for Warrington RUFC, cricket for Warrington CC, plus football for Appleton AFC and plays golf, has started his own YouTube channel posting workout videos.

Teddy has always wanted to be a YouTuber, so when his all of sport was cancelled for the year, he took matters into his own hands with the help of dad Dominic.

In fact, TedFit is a case of a try and try again for Teddy – who loves to exercise before school at Stretton St Matthew’s – as he was told by his dad that he could not launch a YouTube channel until he came up with an idea good enough.

So when Teddy asked Dominic for help in making the videos, he was over the moon to hear a ‘yes’ in making the most of a bad situation with the fitness routines.

Warrington Guardian:

TedFit currently has two workout videos online, with the first accumulating over 1,200 views from the USA, Australia, Spain, and New Zealand in less than a week.

Initially, the videos started out as a way to encourage his team-mates to keep fit – but now the sessions, which are just over 15 minutes long, are also aimed at youngsters around his age who are at home all day to help the NHS through the coronavirus crisis.

Warrington Guardian:

With an explosion of online fitness tools during the three week Covid-19 lockdown, Teddy has taken inspiration from a number of online personal trainers, including Joe Wicks.

However, Teddy has come up with his own exercise ideas, such as ‘Spider-Man’, ‘Lego walks’, and ‘swimming on the floor’, as well as writing his own script for each production.
