CHILDREN made paper aeroplanes with cheerful messages for elderly people and flew them over the wall of a Herefordshire care home.

The aeroplanes, which comprised pictures and written messages, were 'delivered' to Brockington House Care Home in Haford Road, Hereford.

Home director Shann Thomas said: "It was a really lovely thing to do, and we would like to thank the children."

The identity of the designers of the flying goodwill messages is a mystery.

Ms Thomas said: "We believe that it was two little boys living close by, but cannot be sure."

"Thank you very much from every single resident," she added.

Brockington House is run by Dormy Care.
