COUNTY planners have given the go-ahead to build three new homes and plant a new heritage orchard in a village near Hereford.

More than 20 local residents support the scheme for three detached properties on land west of The Yard on Brampton road in Madley.

The proposals include the planting of almost 400 feet of hedgerow along with an orchard and wildflower meadow covering just over two acres.

Madley parish council also supported the proposals.

Clerk Mark Hearne said the council support the plans subject to conditions.

“Firstly, councillors will expect that the proposed orchard and wildflower meadow will be delivered as part of the development.

“Also, councillors noted that the proposed development lies outside the agreed Madley neighbourhood development plan settlement boundary.”
