Box Offices across the country have opened ticket sales ahead of the release of the new James Bond film.

The blockbuster, titled No Time To Die, will hit cinemas nationwide on April 2, with several chains including Cineworld, Odeon and Vue, preparing for high demand for the first set of screenings.

It comes as the founders from two popular James Bond fan sites have asked the studios behind the next film, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and Eon Productions, to delay its release until this summer due to the coronavirus.

The call comes from James Page and David Leigh, the founders of MI6 Confidential and The James Bond Dossier.

What is the new film about?

According to 007.com, in No Time To Die, Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica.

His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help.

The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

Who is behind the theme song?

The theme song (also titled No Time To Die) to the 25th James Bond film was written and performed by 18-year-old American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish, and produced by her brother Finneas alongside Stephen Lipson, with orchestral arrangements by Hans Zimmer and Matt Dunkley and guitar from Johnny Marr.
