NEARLY 50 people braved Storm Dennis and the floods to learn how they can help save the planet at Linton Village Hall.
Mum of three Charlie Kingswood spoke on the challenges of avoiding single-use plastic, rethinking purchasing habits and refusing materials that too soon end up in the waste stream.
The talk was supported by local businesses G D Parkers of Newent, Wyedean Healthfoods, Two Farmers Crisps, Gorsley Post Office and Shop, the Marine Conservation Society and Clyde from Wild Wicker at Wobage.
Each producer showcased samples of alternative products, including household cleaning, personal hygiene and kitchen use.
