AN evening of 'Music Magic and Mirth" featuring the popular Phoenix Knight of Harmony will take place to raise money for some of Bolton's most worthy causes.

The concert at Astley Bridge Conservative Club is in aid of the Mayor's charities.

Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Hilary Fairclough said: "The Phoenix Knights of Harmony are well know for their support of local charities raising thousands of pounds over the years for many local charities.

"They have kindly offered to have a fund raising concert , this will be an evening of Music, Mirth and Magic, bringing together a wealth of local talent all giving their services for free."

Also performing on the night will be Amy Bannister, singing songs from the shows, jazz band Midweek Sax, magician Lorenzo.

And said Cllr Fairclough: "For those George Formby fans we have Ukulele duo Fred and Don who will be leaning on their lamppost to entertain with all the old favourites."

She added: "Simon Bond , a contestant in the Bolton Got Talent show who has a beautiful voice and sings some very well loved songs. And last but not least Rob Mason , whose Lancashire humour and will have you giggling all night.

"This all makes for a highly entertaining evening with something for everyone."

Money raised will go to Bolton Hospice , Fortalice, Bolton Dementia Support, Asian Elders, The Scout Trust ,for Bibby’s Farm, The Renal Unit at the Royal Bolton Hospital.

The concert takes place on Friday, February 21, at 7.30pm
