MOTORISTS have faced a lengthy journey to work this morning with some roads closed and vehicles stuck in flood water.

The C1055 road between Kimbolton and Hamnish, near Leominster, is closed with one vehicle stuck in flood water.

Motorists in South Herefordshire have also been affected with the B4349 between Kingstone and Clehonger shut.

Flood water has also gathered on the C1196, which runs between the B4352 at Madley to the B4348.

The road through Bridge Sollars has also been affected.

And flooding is also causing problems in Lower Bullingham, Herefordshire Council has confirmed. Lower Bullingham Lane has been closed from Watery Lane to Green Crize.

Flood alerts are currently in force for the rivers Arrow, Frome, Leadon, and Lugg, with waters expected to rise in many areas as a result of heavy rainfall.
