FOUR drivers have had their taxi licences suspended in a day of action by police and the local authority.
Police officers from the transport unit together with officers from Bolton Council and from Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency Enforcement have been out in Bolton checking taxis operating in the area.
Four drivers had their licence suspended for failing to maintain vehicle standards.
Posting on Facebook, Sgt Tierney wrote: "Together we are committed to keeping our roads safe."
