YOUNG STUDENTS from Herefordshire have been weighing up their future options at a careers fair held at Three Counties Showground.

The fair was part of the Three Counties Agricultural Society's drive to encourage education within the farming and agricultural community.

The society itself offered several travel bursaries to local schools enabling them to bring as many students as possible to take part in the experience.

More than 1,000 young students from Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire attended.

The fair welcomed pupils from dozens of schools and numerous home educator groups based across the three counties.

Students were able to learn about a wide range of careers and further education options available to them in the local area.

This is part of the Three Counties Agricultural Society's drive to encourage education within the farming and agricultural community.

There were 45 stands on the day which demonstrated an array of careers in different industries such as agriculture, horticulture, technology, healthcare and hospitality. There were also a range of universities, colleges and training providers promoting courses, apprenticeships and other training opportunities available in the local area.
