On Saturday, February 1, The Green Dragon Hotel will be the venue for The Wild Hare Club's party in aid of Hereford Food Bank.

A Feast for the Ears will feature Little Rumba, Talulah’s Goat and DJ Daniel Jaye as The Wild Hare Club returns to the hotel's refurbished ballroom, scene of some of their best remembered shows.

Honing their craft for over 20 years, Little Rumba have developed an instantly recognisable house style that draws on the diverse musical interests of the individual players, encompassing East European and South American styles as well as more familiar jazz and blues. For this show the band will be joined by the fabulous Welsh singer and songwriter Jess Hall.

Talulah’s Goat only came into being in 2019 and are quickly making a name for themselves with the county’s music lovers for their quirky, melodic songs. The songs, written by Rob Ashman, well known locally for his work with Sea Legs Puppet Theatre, are given an extra dimension by the dual vocals of Ashman and singer Nicola-Rose Henderson, embellished by the beautiful tones of Ann Rowan’s violin and gently propelled by the percussion of Lin Jones.

Before, in-between and after the live sets, DJ Daniel Jaye will be selecting the tunes, including a selection of Northern Soul classics for a mixed and friendly crowd.

“This show not only celebrates 15th year of the Wild Hare Club and its return to The Green Dragon ballroom but also serves as both mine and my partner’s birthday party”, says Wild Hare Club MC, Richard Page. “To add to the celebratory atmosphere, we’re inviting people to dress in black and silver and have decided that ticket money from the show will be donated to Hereford Food Bank, a cause close to our hearts.”

A Feast for the Ears will be at The Green Dragon Hotel on Saturday, doors open at 8pm. Book tickets online at wildhareclub.com
