A COUNTER Terrorism Unit (CTU) operation is still ongoing on a Bradford street today, as an arrested man was released under investigation.
The CTU descended on Sutton Avenue yesterday morning as part of a pre-planned, intelligence-led operation.
Officers arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of explosive offences at around 11:45am.
He was taken in to a local police station for questioning, but the CTU confirmed that he was released under investigation late last night.
A spokesperson for CTU added yesterday evening: "Two of the searches have concluded however a third property search is ongoing and will continue tomorrow.
"The property is not believed to present any risk to the public."
Much of the surrounding area was impacted yesterday too, as part of Kings Road/Swain House Road had to be cordoned off as a precaution.
It caused traffic chaos, with the cordon only removed at 3:30pm.
Schools in the area were also on lockdown.
A mother, who lives on Sutton Avenue, explained how she shouted for her kids when she returned to find the cordon.
