THE engine of a car was found more than 100 metres away from the wrecked body after a crash near Kington.
The smashed car on the verge on the A44 was reported to police at 8.45am on Wednesday morning.
A spokesperson said West Mercia Police were "called to reports of a vehicle that had looked like it was involved in an RTC".
The driver, a man, had been taken to hospital where he was later discharged.
Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service sent a crew from Kington to make the scene safe after the car hit a tree.
"It took us a while to find the engine as it had travelled about 100 metres across a main road, through a hedge and bounced up the field," a spokesperson from Kington fire station said.
