VERY strong winds could bring disruption to Herefordshire later this week, forecasters say.

A yellow weather warning is in force for Thursday, with severe weather conditions set to move in.

The Met Office said today (Wednesday) will be largely dry through the morning, with heavy rain pushing in later in the afternoon and strong winds overnight.

Conditions are set to take a turn for the worse on Thursday, with forecasters warning of severe gales in the region.

Very strong winds are expected to spread across Wales and much of England through the day, with gusts of 50 to 60 miles per hour in many areas.

Some areas may see gusts of up to 70 miles per hour.

The high winds will bring the risk of flying debris and power cuts, while journey times could also be affected.
