BROMYARD'S 'Beat the Feast' family and dog walk has been hailed a great success for the second year.

Now in its second year, the Bromyard Downs-based walk was arranged by Karen Rock to provide an alternative Boxing Day activity to the traditional hunt meet in the town.

All were invited to join the walk, to enjoy the fresh air, and to burn off some of those Christmas calories.

Ms Rock said: "We had another highly successful Boxing Day dog walk over Bromyard Downs, held as a family friendly alternative to attending the Clifton Hunt meet in Bromyard town.

"The walk was supported by around 20 people this year, despite the very waterlogged ground and misty morning.

"Once again it was a lovely gentle, sociable and upbeat event."

The walkers raised £40 for Malvern Hedgehog rescue.
