The following cases were heard by magistrates between December 11 and 23.

Luke Buchanan Berry, 25, of Churchill Avenue, Leominster, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to a Hereford assistant nurse practitioner, assaulting the same emergency worker, and breaching a conditional discharge in the December 14 incident. He was jailed for 24 weeks and ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge.

Sean Joseph Murphy, 34, of Rudhall View, Ross-on-Wye, pleaded guilty to assault in Ross-on-Wye on September 19.

Murphy was fined £100 and must pay £100 compensation, costs of £135, and a £32 victim surcharge.

Phillip Sparrow, 33, of Dean Swift Close, Goodrich, admitted drink-driving on the A4137 near Ross-on-Wye.

Sparrow had 60 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was breathalysed by police on August 4. The legal limit is 35.

Sparrow was banned from the roads for 40 months, fined £135, and must pay costs of £300 and a £32 victim surcharge.

Jamie Thomas Vaughan, 24, of Smallbrook Gardens, Ross-on-Wye, admitted driving while over the drug limit on June 28.

Vaughan had 4.9 microgrammes of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood when he was stopped on Wilton Lane. The legal limit is 2.

He was fined £200, disqualified from driving for 12 months, and must pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.

Luke Trevor Barefoot, 30, of Sidney Box Drive, Hereford, pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on August 14.

Barefoot was handed a 24 month conditional discharge and restraining order. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £21 victim surcharge.

Angela Jane Blackmore, 68, of Bromesberrow Heath, Ledbury, admitted breaching the terms of an enforcement notice requiring her to remove an unauthorised caravan, dog pens, fences and a polytunnel and to cease training sheepdogs on land in Weston-under-Penyard.

Blackmore was handed an 18 month conditional discharge and must pay costs of £300 and a £20 victim surcharge.

Bradley Pitman, 21, of Vauxhall Barracks, Didcot, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer and damaging a watch belonging to another officer in Hereford on September 29.

Pitman was fined £166, ordered to pay a total of £115 in compensation, costs of £185 and a £32 victim surcharge.

Rhys James Price, 18, of Church Street, Kington, was caught drink-driving in his Ford Fiesta on Crabtree Road, Kington, on November 22.

A breathalyser test revealed Price had 60 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

Price was disqualified for 14 months and fined £73. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £32 victim surcharge.

Daniel Edwards, 24, of Kingsway, Hereford, admitted possessing cannabis on September 14.

Edwards was handed a 12 month conditional discharge. He must pay costs of £185 and a £21 victim surcharge.

Istvan Szabo, 33, of Mahollem, Kington, admitted drink-driving in his VW Transporter on Mill Street, Kington, on November 23.

He also admitted driving without an appropriate licence or insurance

A breathalyser test showed Szabo had 66 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

Szabo was banned from the roads for 22 months, fined £600, and ordered to pay £135 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.

Anton David Harrison, 39, of Upper Sapey, Herefordshire, admitted drug-driving in his Renault Clio on July 24.

Harrison was found to have 9.5 microgrammes of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood when he was stopped on Little Hereford Street in Bromyard.

Harrison was fined £120 and banned from the roads for 14 months. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £32 victim surcharge.

Simon Hughes, 28, of Aston Close, Ledbury, was handed a two-year driving ban after admitting drink-driving in Ledbury on August 18.

A blood test revealed Hughes had 227 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood when he was caught driving his Vauxhall Corsa on New Street. The legal limit is 80.

Hughes was disqualified for 24 months and must complete 110 hours unpaid work. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £90 victim surcharge.

Jonathan Michael Mercer, 63, of Stoke Prior, Leominster, was banned from driving after admitting drink-driving in his Nissan Navara on the A49 at Dinmore on November 27.

The court heard Mercer had 49 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood when breathalysed by police. The legal limit is 35.

Mercer was disqualified for 14 months and fined £1650. He must also pay £135 costs and a £165 victim surcharge.

Janine Nightingale, 55, of Baysham Street, Hereford, was caught drink-driving her Audi Q3 on Withies Road on November 28.

A breathalyser test revealed Nightingale had 75 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

Nightingale was disqualified for 19 months, fined £230, and must pay £135 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
