EARLIER this month saw the first ever community fitness week.
A national drive by the Community Fitness Network to encourage people to get active and to help build communities and friendships locally.
Throughout the week, which took place between November 4 to November 10, instructors across the country collected food and hygiene products for their local Food Banks.
They provided 125,000 meals nationwide and are aiming for one million when they repeat Community Fitness Week in the summer holidays.
Laura Lowe is the Community Fitness Ambassador and thanks to the generosity of her class members, delivered over nine boxes to the food bank.
National Fitness Week culminated in an award ceremony where fitness instructors from all over the UK were recognised, and Laura was named Second Runner Up in her category, Female Instructor of the Year.
FitSteps, a brand close to Laura’s heart won best brand for 2019 and is moving from strength to strength. Laura qualified as a pioneer instructor in 2013 and was the first instructor to teach FitSteps in Herefordshire.
