WORCESTER City have been drawn against league rivals Coventry United in the last 32 of the FA Vase.

While a tie against familiar opponents might not set pulses racing, City at least avoided heavy hitters from the Northern League who are among the favourites to win the national competition.

The tie, which will decide which team moves to within three stages of a Wembley final.

The match has already been scheduled for Sunday, January 12 (3pm) due to landlords Bromsgrove Sporting hosting Tamworth in the league on the Saturday.

Five victories to date have scooped City £4,125 in prize money with another £1,875 available against a United side that won 1-0 at the Victoria Ground in the league last month.

Ten-man City bagged the place in the fourth round with a 2-1 win over United Counties League leaders Shepshed Dynamo yesterday (Sunday).

All teams in the hat get a bye to next seasons second round proper, meaning City will bypass three of the five rounds they have got through this time.

Malvern Town will travel to joint-favourites and 2018 finalists Stockton Town if they can win a third-round replay at Atherstone Town on Wednesday following Saturday's 3-3 draw after extra-time.
