A FREEZING start is expected tomorrow (Friday), with a yellow weather warning for ice in force for Herefordshire.
Forecasters predict temperatures will drop below zero overnight, with patches of ice likely to form, as this afternoon's wet weather gradually clears.
Herefordshire Council and Balfour Beatty Living Places said crews will be gritting all priority routes from 4am.
The Met Office says Friday will remain cold but dry, with clear, sunny conditions expected through the day.
Icy conditions will return again over the weekend, bringing widespread frosts and hill fog to the county on Saturday morning, while patches of ice and freezing fog are also possible through Sunday and Monday.
