REMEMBRANCE Sunday will be celebrated across the country to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women involved in the two World Wars.

In Evesham uniformed organisations and ex-service personnel will assemble in the Amenity area outside Iceland at 10.15 am. At 10.50 am they will parade from there to the War Memorial, arriving at 10.56am, for a two minutes silence at 11.00 am.

Following the Act of Remembrance, the band will lead the ex-service standard bearers, the Civic Party and the uniformed organisations to All Saints’ Church for a Service of Remembrance.

In Pershore a service will take place at the Abbey at 10:40. A parade will march at 10.10am.

There will be a Remembrance Service at Wick war memorial at 14.45pm.

On November 11 an Armistice Day Service will be held at the Cross of Sacrifice, Pershore cemetery at 10.45am. There will also be an Armistice Day Service at Chapman Court, Pershore at 11.00.

In Pinvin a Remembrance Day service will take place at 10:30 in the church on November 10.

A service will be held on Remembrance day at St. James church in Bishampton at 10:45 am. After the service everyone will proceed to the memorial in Bishampton.

In Chipping Norton, on Sunday November 10 Royal British Legion branch members will assemble outside Sainsbury’s at 10:15 am ready to march to the church at 10:25. The following day a service will take place at the War Memorial at 10:45.

In Moreton, the parade will muster in Fire Station car park, Parkers Lane at 10:15 am and will march off at 10:40. At 11am the sounding of the last post and a minutes silence will take place.

After the service Moreton in Marsh Town Council invites everyone to the Redesdale Hall for refreshments.

Rooftop Housing Group is holding a special Remembrance Day gathering at Parsons Gardens in Broadway.

The public are invited to join residents and Rooftop staff in listening to a lone bugler, observing the 2-minute silence, and the laying of a wreath before taking refreshments in the lounge.
