A HISTORICAL Evesham business is closing its doors.
The manager of Knights Menswear is retiring after a long career in Evesham. He says there is no-one else to take over the business.
Reg Slade has managed the store for 51 years.
Mr Slade said: "It has been one of the nicest shops in Evesham. People are sad that it is going but I have done 51 years here."
"I think I have done my bit."
F. W. Knight began trading in menswear at Evesham Market Place in 1902, moving to the High Street in 1907.
The business was purchased the Millard family in 1936. Since then the shop has had only two managers.
Knights Menswear is the oldest retail business in Evesham today.
