FIREFIGHTERS were called to the River Lugg this afternoon after a sheep became stranded by rising flood waters.
The crew from Hereford Fire Station were called to reports of the animal in distress near the A438 Lugwardine Bridge just after 1pm today.
The lucky sheep was successfully brought to dry land and is now safely in the care of a local farmer.
