THE World's Biggest Coffee Morning - Macmillan's biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer is etched on the calendar for local Hereford choir Got 2 Sing.
It is a fundraising favourite for the choir members every year - and that may have something to do with the amount of cake involved!
Members baked cakes, bought cakes and sang in their aprons to inject a little fun too and in the process raised £225.
Got 2 Sing Hereford choir is one of a family of 13 contemporary Got 2 Sing Choirs across the Midlands who collectively raised £2016 for Macmillan through the 'Coffee Morning' initiative.
Hereford Choir leader Cathy Hart, commented, "The coffee morning is such a fantastic initiative by Macmillan and a fun way to raise funds - it's something we look forward to every year! I'm not so sure our waistlines thank us for it but it turns what is a fun rehearsal anyway into a real fantastic social event with lots of money raised for such a deserving cause to boot!"
Got 2 Sing meets every Wednesday at Broadlands Primary School.
Anyone can pop along for a free taster from 7.30pm – 9pm.
