A MAN was stabbed during a violent carjacking in Halesowen in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).

Two men in their 20s were dragged from a Ford Focus in Stourbridge Road by two robbers who attacked them at 1am.

Police said one man was stabbed in his hand and the other suffered a "superficial injury to his arm" in the shocking incident near the BP garage.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Two men in their 20s were dragged from a Ford Focus and assaulted by two others who made off with the vehicle.

"One of the men suffered a stab injury to his hand and the other a superficial injury to his arm.

"The car was later recovered and enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information can contact police via Live Chat at www.west-midlands.pnn.police.uk between 8am and midnight or call 101 anytime. Quote log number 80 of 1/10/19."

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We sent an ambulance and two paramedic officers to reports of a man who had been stabbed.

"We found two men, both in their 20s, who had been injured.

"Both men were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries not thought to be life-threatening."
