Man arrested with knife after woman is injured in Ledbury
A MAN thought to be carrying a knife was arrested in Ledbury last night after a woman was injured.
A police statement issued this morning said: "Police were called at around 10.40pm yesterday evening (Thursday) following a report that a man, believed to be in possession of a bladed article, had assaulted and made threats to a woman at an address on Ballard Close in Ledbury.
"The victim, a woman in her 20s, sustained minor injuries.
"Specialist officers were deployed and located the 25-year-old man a short time later.
"He was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon. He remains in police custody at this time.
"This is believed to be an isolated incident with no wider threat to the community."
