SHOPS in Hereford are running out of milk after one of the county's major suppliers failed to make deliveries today.
Bartonsham Farm is the source of much of the milk that finds itself for sale in stores across Herefordshire.
However, today milkmen and newsagents were told that deliveries would not be made by the dairy in St James, Hereford.
One shopkeeper told the Hereford Times that stocks were already running low – and expected many stores to soon run out of milk.
Sunil Patel said his staff were making trips to Bookers but expected many other traders to follow suit.
Mr Patel, who runs the Premier Store on Green Street, was told by the dairy that normal service was expected to resume on Friday.
The Hereford Times contacted Bartonsham Farm but they declined to comment.
