A SPECIAL music event to celebrate the lives of two of Herefordshire's most famous musicians will take place later this year.
One of the founding members of The Pretenders will play a gig in October to raise money for the Friends of Lyde Church, where guitarist and songwriter James Honeyman-Scott is buried.
Drummer Martin Chambers is helping to organise the gig at the Three Counties Hotel on October 5 to celebrate the lives of James Honeyman-Scott and Pete Farndon.
Mr Chambers, who still lives in the county, said: "Jimmy and Pete were fellow Herefordians, my closest friends and band mates.
"The evening will include some musical collaborations from some of Jimmy and Pete's Hereford friends and fellow band mates, as well as some special guest appearances."
Ticket information will be announced in due course.
The rock band, formed in the 1970s, are still touring the world, and in 2019 have played at a number of venues across Europe, including two dates at Wembley Stadium with Fleetwood Mac.
