FIREFIGHTERS were called to Leominster's Dishley Street Aldi store this morning after an alarm was sounded at the premises.
A fire service spokesperson said a crew was called to the evacuated store after the fire alarm went off earlier today.
Firefighters conducted a complete search of the premises.
No sign of a fire was found and it is understood that the alarm sounded as a result of a fault in the system.
The supermarket will remain closed to customers as a precautionary measure until the fault is traced and fixed by alarm system engineers.
UPDATE: The shop reopened this afternoon.
