A CRACK in the road has closed the B4349 in Kingstone this afternoon.
A spokesperson for Herefordshire Council and Balfour Beatty Living Places said a 30-foot crack has appeared near the Lagan Homes site.
There is no traffic access from the B4352 to the B4348 via this road.
Pedestrian access is expected to continue, but the spokesperson said the road will be closed for many days or possibly longer.
A plan to safely complete planned roadworks and then reinstate the carriageway is being developed.
Drivers are advised to take care on nearby roads and at junctions as traffic on other routes will increase.
