HOLMER WI recently enjoyed a summer evening celebration in the home and garden of member Frances Riddell.
The weather was fine, the games entertaining, the food delicious, all in an atmosphere of friendliness and good fun.
Gina Rawlings organised a tombola, which raised valuable funds for the WI. A good time was had by all.
The speaker in August was Paul Brodrick who told members about being a 'Scriptwriter for the Archers'.
Lifelong fans of the radio programme were fascinated to hear about his work.
Holmer WI next meets on Wednesday, September 4 at 7.30pm in St Mary's Church, Grandstand Road.
Rhiannel Turrell will speak about the history of buttons.
All ladies will be made most welcome.
