THE Beefy Boy Burger is Hereford's most ordered takeaway treat, a delivery company has revealed.

Hereford's eating habits have examined by on-demand delivery company, Deliveroo.

Their data reveals what Herefordians are most likely to indulge in on a Friday, with a spike in orders at 6:47pm.

And while Herefordshire might be most famous for its beef and cider, a wide range of cuisines are represented in the top five most-ordered meals.

Taking the top spot is the Beefy Boy Burger from Hereford's very own Meat Boutique.

The home-grown winner is followed by American fast-food giant, KFC, whose hot wings come in second place.

In third place is a large cod and chips from Edwards Plaice, while Saffron Restaurant's Merthi chicken takes fourth, and Wagamama's chicken katsu curry bags fifth place.

Since its launch in the town three years ago, more than 40 restaurants have signed up to the platform.

It has provided work for more than 70 people, with the majority of these being the Deliveroo riders.

Harison Foster, Regional Director of Deliveroo said: “Our whole team here at Deliveroo are delighted that our rapid growth in Hereford over the past three years means that customers have more choice, restaurants are able to increase their revenue, and riders have opportunity to choose well-paid, flexible work.”

"Deliveroo is focused on providing the ultimate food delivery experience."
